This coming elections, I think people should vote for Villar, Binay, Enrile and pretty much any of them candidates who’re in a political dynasty.

As a self-proclaimed political expert, I truly believe this is the only way to purge our government!

I can just imagine… with enough families in…

And please feel free to sing along if you too are so over not being loved.

You Don’t Love Me, It’s Okay

    Lyrics:

See I would’ve given you more than these
presents and then more of anything that you please.
We could watch the sunset however corny that is
    But the cornier the corny
    the more real this is

    Aha-hah
    Aha-hah-hah

    But you…
You don’t love me but it’s okay
You don’t love me but it’s okay
You don’t love me but it’s okay
You don’t love me but it’s okay

All my friends tell me this is insane
Oh, for a coffee time with you I’d miss my plane
Even if it means years of soaking in your rain
    I’d be happily counting teardrops
    in this one-way train

    Aha-hah
    Aha-hah-hah

    Coz you…
You don’t love me and it’s okay
You don’t love me and it’s okay
You don’t love me and it’s okay
You don’t love me and it’s okay

    And no,
there’s nothing emo about this song
I don’t see the emo in knowing where you belong
but if you’d only look around you
    for one more minute long
you will see I am here,
    I’m still here,
    I’ve been here all along.

You don’t love me sometimes it’s not okay.
You don’t love me sometimes it’s not okay.
You don’t love me sometimes it’s not okay.
But I love you, I love you,
    so I love you anyway.

  3. A Secret

Of all the lines his many years of living have drawn on his face, he hates those deeply-carved semi-circles that run from his nose to the chin the most. (Two parentheses that for ever enclose his smiles like an explanation.)

    Tink’s Thoughts

    Lyrics:

If I had known how to sew
I wouldn’t have let your shadow get away.
    But needles are already spears
    for my fragile heart.

If I had been the bigger one,
you wouldn’t have even asked her to come.
It’s funny how I used my own pixie dust
to banish all my happy thoughts of you -
    my happy thoughts with you.

We could’ve been king and queen of Neverland forever
if only you had learned how to see me.

I won’t leave you, I’ve never left you
since the first time you broke a cry.
I won’t neglect you, I’ve never neglected you
since the time you learned how to fly.
    Oh can’t you see me?
    Don’t you know?
How dark the nights had become for me
since we came back with Wendy.

    Are you aware of this:
I give you a thimble every night while you’re asleep.
Am I too small or you’re just too numb
to feel it? Too numb and dumb to feel it.

Because we could’ve been king and queen of Neverland forever
if only you had learned how to see me.

I’d build a castle out of pixie dust
if you’d only ask me to.
Or collect every child’s happy thought
and bring them home to you.
But there isn’t any way, is there,
    to make you realize
that as your fairy friend flies
    your fairy friend cries.

I won’t leave you, I’ve never left you
since the first time you broke a cry.
I won’t neglect you, I’ve never neglected you
since the time you learned how to fly.
    Oh can’t you see me?
    Don’t you know?
How dark the nights had become for me
since we came back with Wendy..

  6. Neverland Three

In 2008, I suddenly had the urge to write a song about someone I’d been missing. Upon writing the third line though, I realized I’d started writing through the perspective of the literary character that made my childhood — Peter Pan.

Eventually, I had come to write two more songs inspired by J.M. Barrie’s masterpiece but one is through the eyes of Tinker Bell and the other, through the adult Wendy. I’ll post both of those soon, but for now, here’s the first one.

    When Wendy Left for London

    Lyrics:

It was the last time that I saw her face
I gave her then my warmest embrace
This tiny fairy’s powder made them fly again
Away from me and back to where they must return

And the nights have never felt this long
And I’m crying too hard to say that there is nothing wrong

When she flew away back to her home
    my home became so empty.
And the clouds that touch me when I fly
are freezing now that she’s without me.
And this tree house never was the same again
    ever since she left me.
    And everything became so wrong
the night she left for London.

I stare at her sewing kit every night
and hug my teddy to make me sleep tight.
This fairy friend of mine would say again and again
She doesn’t belong here and now she’s back
    to where she must return.

And summer never was that warm
now that she’s not here to cling unto my arm.

When she flew away back to her home
    my home became so empty.
And the clouds that touch me when I fly
are freezing now that she’s without me.
And this tree house never was the same again
    ever since she left me.
    And everything became so wrong
the night she left for London.

There’s no sense in singing this song
‘coz she won’t hear me anyway or
    come back here to stay.
Guess I’ll end up flying out there every night
to peek by her window pane
as night by night her age takes her away.

When she flew away back to her home
    my home became so empty.
And the clouds that touch me when I fly
are freezing now that she’s without me.
And Neverland never was the same again
    ever since she left me.
    And everything became so wrong
    When Wendy left for London.

The State of HIV/AIDS in the Philippines

According to data from the Department of Health, the number of new cases of HIV being reported in the Philippines is steadily on the rise. While the absolute number of cases in the Philippines is relatively small, HIV is rising at an alarming rate in the country.

Persons who are infected with HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) may eventually develop  AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome), a life threatening disease characterized by a weakened immune system.

They agreed that the HIV has spread in the Philippines largely because of the lack of public education about the virus. Because sex is a taboo topic in Filipino culture, experts speculate that the actual number of HIV cases in the Philippines may actually be higher than reported because people are too ashamed or afraid to come forward about having the infection.

  9. Pangako, Mang Dolphy

  10. Love, Hope and Places

    • Me: When was the last time you went to someplace beautiful? Yung bakasyon talaga sa ibang lugar. Yung may multiple hours of byahe.
    • Friend: Ang cinematic naman! Di kaya ng mundane reality ko!
    • Me: Dude don't underestimate the powers of a change in scenery.
    • Friend: Never.
    • Me: Well, you should soon.
    • Friend: Eto. Di emo ha. Pero I think any place can be beautiful. It depends on who you're with.
    • Me: Totoo naman. Pero if i'm not with anyone who makes a so-so place beautiful, I'd rather go to a beautiful place.
    • Friend: You'll find love in a hopeless place.
    • Me: You'll find hope in a lovely place.
